Description

This is my first build using Intel, everything went according to plan. I must say this case is pretty easy to work in, there is plenty of room to plug in EPS and fan headers at the top of the motherboard. The airflow is interesting, similar to my previous 301 build. The radiator mounting is attractive and quite effective. With all three fan slots populated on the bottom intake, the AIO pretty much has its own dedicated intake fan. The case is quiet, even with my IPPC 2000 radiator fans running at a fixed 1500rpm. The case also comes with a basic GPU support bracket which works just fine without interfering with the third fan on my Strix Vega56.

Coming from a Ryzen 7 1700, the i5 8600K is quite a substantial jump in gaming performance with a mild OC to 4.5 all core. I only play at 1080p, so my Undervolted/Overclocked Vega56 combined with the i5 really chews through any game I throw at it. With my Ryzen system, the upgrade from an RX580 to Vega56 wasn't as substantial as I expected. Now the GPU can stretch its legs, thanks intel.

Would you suggest this case over the nzxt h500? Jw

Probably not, the H500 has more polished options. The 101 is pretty basic, no grommets and fewer passages for cable management. Airflow is good though.

If only inwin would make the logo RGB on the front. I would be all over this case then. Love your build it looks great!

I hear ya, some regions got the 101C but not Canada as it seems. Just gives me an excuse to use the red chromax pads ;) Thanks!

Do you advise me to buy the case

It is a very nice case to work in, but there are definitely other cases in this price range that have more features. The GPU temperatures are very low if all three bottom fans are populated, better than most cases that come to mind.
