This rig is the first Desktop PC that I have ever owned as well as it is my first gaming PC. For a 16 year old it is all that I need and it has room for upgrading in the future. I use it to play modern games like Battlefield and DayZ (see below) but it will also handle some designing/school work. There were no problems in building it besides the PSU not seating correctly (I fixed this by using three screws). I studied much before and spent probably the whole 2 - 3 weeks previous constantly watching YouTube videos and reading guides and reviews. In the end, my fears of faulty parts were quashed and the whole process including Windows setup and installing drivers was very easy. The PC loading into BIOS the first time I hit the power button was an awesome feeling.
Basic Gaming Benchmarks:
At 1080p max settings in Dayz I roughly get 55 - 75 fps
At 1080p max settings in Battlefield 4 I get about 80-90 fps
At 1080p very high texture settings, standard anti aliasing and effects in Arma 3 is about 45 fps average
A powerful but not too costly mid level CPU, works perfectly.
This motherboard has all of the basics for a first time build like 1 x16 PCIe slot although you might need a fan splitter
8GB of RAM is standard these days and the heat-sink/cover is not too big and flashy like some others.
A basic but valuable component, 1000 GB of mass storage is usually enough.
This is one of the best cards for the price to performance ratio. This card works perfect to max games out at 60 FPS
This cases outside is black and minimalist, the inside is also all black and it comes with two nice fans the front having an LED. Finger prints sometimes linger on the case and I also had a bit of trouble getting the PSU and motherboard to seat properly. Cable management consists of pushing cables into unused drive bays but its a mini tower that was expected. Overall its a great mini tower case.
For most mid ranged builds, 550 watts is all that is needed. It comes with all of the cables that you need if your buying a 550w PSU. Its a high quality supply, the cables look nice inside of any case and I have not had any problems with this PSU.
