Description

Just an overkill build because I like building PC's :D and sorry I know Pictures are kinda crap but, can't bring myself to buy a flagship smartphone when my old crappy one still does what I need but, I really wanted to share this build. Yes I am going RGB everything cause I am one of "those" people still want to get the corsair mousemat and headset stand and technically the two top fans aren't able to be linked with the other 4 still need to change them to LL120s then it will all be synced through ICUE :D. Also yes I know my cable management sucks but with all the fans plus pump for aio actually not that much to do with it all Plus two fan hubs and a rgb controller. Also be aware while the corsair crystal is very pretty. the drive mounting is wonky they go on the back and hardrives go upside down so thats kind of meh. and with certain MOBO's (mine specifically) while a 280mm radiator can fit on the top it does get in the way more than it's worth (blocks 8pin and ram is a pain.) But all in all very happy with the setup with the 120gb ssd hardrive and monitors being 4years old and the desk is one of my favorites ever if a pain in the *** to keep perfectly shiny. Will upgrade the monitors in a few weeks and want to get a 1TB SSD and willl probably end up with a custom loop eventually or maybe just a 150i.

Part Reviews

CPU

Probably not as good value for money as it could be, but overclocks just fine and runs as you would expect.

CPU Cooler

One of my favorite coolers ever, easily handles light overclocking and highest temps with my 9700k at 4.8ghz is only about 75-80 at full load which is very nice for what it is.

Motherboard

Less USB ports at it's price point compared to older MSI boards at the same price, only 2 usb 3.0 and one usb 3.1 type A but the included type C is a nice touch and has two usb 2.0 but compared to their older boards does have less, but same MSI build quality and nice uefi no doubt it will last just as long as my old one which is still going after 4 years.

Memory

Way to expensive just for the addition of RGB but that was what I wanted for my build. Other than that it's RAM it does what it's supposed to what else do you expect? Three stars cause boo on the price.

Storage

IT's an SSD does what it says, It's samsung my 120GB still running after 4 years cheap enough now almost no reason to not have one or more.

Case

Very pretty case, cable management is nice if you spend a lot of time making sure everything is just right only so much room being because of course being glass no flexibilty to panels so one thin I found was if you use 90 degree sata cables for storage drives they don't really fit without getting squished. 4 stars -1 cause while it is pretty would rather a steel back panel.

Keyboard

Very nice keyboard just don't get anything on it DOES NOT handle any type of spillage well but is easy enough to clean.

Mouse

Nice mouse use it a lot for games with hot bars with abilities easily programmable and plenty of buttons for it just be careful you don't accidentally hit the mouse buttons you have set to f keys while on windows or in games that don't use them bring up the desktop or help in the middle of a fight is kinda annoying.

Headphones

Love the feel of these headphones very comfortable and noise cancellation is great on earcups anyway and had them for over a year now almost 2. Have had people i'm on discord with tell me they can here me typing pretty easy and other background noises so the mic is't great with that but it does sound really good.

Nice build! I know this is a bit old, but I really like the case, and the build seems very well balanced. However, not trying to sound like a jerk, but I think the cable management department needs some work, and isn't that cpu water block upside down, that ones not a big deal either, but why did you spend 400 dollars on 2 60Hz monitors, you could've easily gotten 2 144Hz monitors for that price as well. Other than those three things nice work!

You could have got some cheaper monitors with 144hz did you pick those because of preference?

You REALLY should have gotten a 144 hz monitor, the two 60 hz monitors you got were more than enough money to get 2 144 hz
