Description

I built this machine original for gaming for Christmas. I am of a younger age, so I cannot really work for money. I saved up by doing chores, mowing lawns, selling my console, etc. I racked up roughly 800$. Thanks to my relatives and the generosity of Christmas, I got all of my parts. I built this - it took roughly 4 hours, (not including drivers/software installation). We got it booted. It worked! This made me the happiest person alive. I cannot explain to those of you who have not built your first PC how amazing it was. My peripherals I got with Christmas money (besides the monitor). I went for a red and black build, and named her Ruby. I was originally going to overclock the 9600k - hence the Z390. I have not done that yet, but I still get like 200fps on rainbow six siege, 300 on CSGO, really high fps (not quite sure) for realm royale and Garry's mod. I get only 10fps or so on Roblox (kidding - don't hurt me)...

For you console guys, I made a list of pros/cons for you to help ease your decision, as many forums did mine. It is not nearly as hard as it seems. It is essentially just plugging and screwing. Picking your parts is the hardest part.

Pros for PC: -Higher FPS and Graphics -Multitasking -Streaming -Programming -Video Design -VR (Better than PSVR, etc.) -More games -Cheaper games -No paid multiplayer -Beautiful -Custom, and unique

Cons for PC: -Pricier on the front end -Big, bulky -Harder to build (Still not hard) -Hard to maintain

My Problems in the Experience: -Placed Heatsink wrong way -LEDs wouldn't work -Forgot to plug in 6-pin cord to GPU

Nice build it’s good +1 Is the monitor any good I am looking for a nice 144hz monitor for gaming would you recommend one?

The monitor is very, very nice. I highly recommend it. I have not noticed any tearing yet, I don't think it is really worth the extra buck with a 1080p system.

I'd recommend XB241, AW2518H, but theyre around $350+ but it depends on your budget and also if you want G-Sync or non-G-Sync because G Sync adds an extra $150 ish to most monitors

As someone who has G-Sync, I must say that I have never noticed screen tearing and that lag spikes are almost imperceptible.
