Average 160 FPS on 1080p and around 100 fps with 1440P

CPU temp at full load - 57*c

GPU temp at full load - 67*c

Part Reviews

CPU

  • i7 9700K paired with Cooler Master ML 360R liquid cooler on MSI Z390 Gaming edge AC is beast
  • Overclocking is really good and Msi Game boost makes the overclocking easier with one-click and tries to get the best potential out of the CPU

  • With liquid cooler temperature stays at 57* c

CPU Cooler

  • CPU stays cool under heavy load, does not get over 57* C

  • ARGB fans are really good and Fan RPM hits over 2063 RPM, overall system stays cool under load, fans are quite silent

  • PWM fans easily controllable with Motherboard so system can stay cool and MSI Z390 gaming edge ac also includes Pump header separately which is great addition, keep it on with 100% voltage where it runs at ~2400 rpm but stays silent

Motherboard

Well balanced motherboard for gaming, Simple design with strong feature set.

  • Easy to overclock i7-9700K and voltage regulator cooling is also good for overclocking. Look for Overclocking guide on msi website or just press Game Boost button in Bios and all set

  • XMP overclocking is also good. I am able to hit up to 3060mhz on 3000 mhz Memory

  • I love the no of RGB and ARGB headers, i have build a beautiful RGB system, check the pics

  • Well Using MSI RTX 2070 Super with this MB and i must say it works really well, overclocking also working as expected, hitting at 1980 mhz with 100% power with Dragon center app

  • I did not see System temperature goes higher than 62-63 degree temp, tested with MSI Kombustor and GPU Z stress testing for more than 30 mins

  • With 100Mbps connection and On Board WIFI i am able to hit 93.7 Mbps with 5 GHz frequency which is highest among all other devices, and the best part is it has MU-MIMO support

  • 5 Fan headers included which is easy to configure with PWM/DC step-up and down based on the CPU/system temperature, CPU AIO Pump header is really good addition, this configuration makes the system silent and cool. Balance approach to keep system cool and silent both with good performance from all the components.

Conclusion:

  • Good MB at this prize

  • Easy overclocking with Game boost for entry level gamer, overclocking potential is good

  • System stays cool under load

  • Good wifi card onboard

  • Happy to have AIO pump header

Memory

With XMP overclocking on MSI motherboard i am able to hit up to 3060 mhz, which is good for me.

Storage

  • SSD is ok for the prize

  • Performance is decent

Storage

  • Hard disk is good enough for storage purpose

  • Performance is decent

Video Card

Msi Gaming X Trio 2070 Super is the best 1440P GPU

  • Max temp till now is 67* C while gaming and completely noise free with Zero frozr and TORX Fans 3.0 techniques are really good and keep card silent

  • Max Boost clock reach upto 2010 mhz while memory can be reach up 15670mhz with overclocking

  • Manual overclocking can be reach upto 2100mhz with 112% power and memory upto 15670 mhz makes this card beast <3

Case

MB 511 is good RGB case with good air flow techniques.

  • System temperature gone down by 4-5*c with fans on front

  • RGB looks cool, paired with MSI mystic light makes it playable, more customised and in sync with all other component

Power Supply

85% efficiency, but sometimes on full load coil whine can happen.Check for corsair 850X.

Monitor

Old but still the best, colors are very rich and original. Playing games on this monitor looks much better.

Nice build! Just so you know the monitor you have doesnt allow you to see past 60fps. Plus, you cant game a 1440p since it is only a 1080p monitor. You have a fantastic gpu that isnt being used to its full potential!

Thank you. I agree, but with Nvidia graphics it upscale to 2k/4k with DSR and then render at 1080P 60 fps. Planning to buy a good 2k 144hz monitor within 20000 Indian Rupees, Looking for IPS display. If you have any good monitor in mind please tell me.

motherboard PCIE slot has a steel armor, and MSI include GPU bracket with Gaming X trio model, which u can use as a mounting support for GPU. I've added atlas mystic argb GPU holder https://www.msi.com/PC-component/ATLAS-MYSTIC-ARGB, check here

I bought this motherboard and the masterliquid 240r but I can't seem to find a way to connect the aio cooler to the mobo because the plug that comes out of the fan on the 9700k only has 3 hole but the fan ports on the mobo have 4 pins. It's my first build and I'm at a dead end. Can you please help? Thanks!

that port can hold 3/4 pin plug both. just match the slot properly with 3 pin it will work.

I was thinking about snagging this case & coincidentally, the same GPU. Have you had an issues with airflow/overheating? Reading so many reviews can lead you down a dark path lol

  • It's Powerful GPU go for it. In 30 min stress test i went max up to 69* C on GPU and quite performing at 1890 mhz, no throttling.

  • CPU goes up to 64*C on stress test without any thermal throttling.

  • I had Antac case, but this case has helped me to reduce the temp by 4* C, Go with this one or Coolermaster MB 520, which has Tempered glass in Front, mine has mesh filters.
