Description

Pretty simple budget build. I'm re-uploading this due to getting new parts. Works for what I need. Runs Windows 10 Home. More pics soon!

Part Reviews

CPU

Very good. It's cheap, from a reputable brand, and works for what I need it to, which is not much. I would recommend going for the G4560, it's a few $ more, but a lot better, I've heard.

Motherboard

A budget motherboard that works. It has no fancy features, or nice aesthetics and such, but for 60$, it's not bad. I did have to get a new one after my first was DOA.

Memory

It's RAM. Simple, and does the job. If you want something that looks nice, don't buy this.

Storage

Not the fastest ever, but enough storage. Would buy a faster version, but same company.

Video Card

It's an OK card. It is NOT suitable for pretty much anything besides internet browsing and such, and something on mine stopped working, meaning I am going to buy a better card. It probably used to be decent, but now it is outdated and slow.

Case

I wouldn't buy it again, personally. Spend the money on a nice case. It has no window, but is sleek and clean. Cable management is moderate. Has very limited fan and drive support.

Power Supply

You get what you pay for. Excellent product, would definitely buy again. 5/5.

Keyboard

If you are looking for a simple, no-frills, membrane keyboard that is also cheap, buy this. best used in commercial environments or home media PC's.

Mouse

Best mouse I've ever used. It has RGB lighting, up to 16k DPI, and 7 programmable buttons. It has an ergonomic shape that is very comfortable to use. I also liked the green USB connector; it was a different color then what you normally see.

Speakers

Nice bass, sound, but look odd.

Seems like a pretty good PC for web browsing, and light games, with only your GPU holding you back from this being a budget build.

I applaud your simplicity.

But I'm curious; are you planning to get a new GPU?

EnergyGamer11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

I'm thinking so, but not sure. Probably a 480 or a 1030. Thank you, at the time I didn't realize how bad the GPU was. Again, it works for what I do. (Currently)

FlyinToasteronie 2 points 23 months ago

Whoah, thatès a huge difference. The RX 480 is a 1440P60 card, while the 1030 is a 108030 card. There is an immense difference in performance.

rx480 isnt a 1440p60card, its a 1080p60 card

a GTX 1070 is a 1440p60card

EnergyGamer11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

I don't have a 1440p monitor, so I (currently) don't need that kind of power, now that I think about it.

FlyinToasteronie 1 point 23 months ago

I can definitely see the RX480/580 playing 1440p60. It can play GTA V at Ultra settings at 1440p60, and GTA V is very graphically advanced. GTA V Ultra 1440p 60FPS

EnergyGamer11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

But, I don't need that kind of power, and I need to watch out for cost, so I'm going with a cheaper, but decent card. Although, the 480/580 are definitely good 1440p60 cards/

Id recommend a 1050 ti or an rx 470

EnergyGamer11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

That's kinda what I'm thinking, after seeing other comments. :)

You could have gotten an rx 460 for $14 more. Not bad other than that.

EnergyGamer11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

Thank you for telling me about this, I may just consider getting it.

Nullarc77 4 Builds 1 point 23 months ago

No problem. The gt 730 is really just an overpriced display adapter. It is not that much more powerful than the integrated intel graphics. The 460 is a lot more powerful. You could run games at more than 720p if you went with it.

EnergyGamer11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

Yeah, I didn't know about how bad the 730 was when I got it. I'm probably going with it or a 1050(ti)

You can find the G4560 for $60 on places like Jet.com and walmart

If you wait for a bit of time...

Thanks for the tip!
