Best thermal paste?

Alpha_Gametauri

I'm trying to find the best thermal paste for my rig that i can find. ( Will OC )

I'm not looking for the best for the money, i want the absolute best paste period. Not liquid metal because of the conductivity and the corrosion factor.

Thanks <3

Arctic silver, or thermal grizzly.

Which one? Kryonaut?

EDIT: Thanks. <3

I had read somewhere that:

  • Aeronaut is more for air cooling (the lower tier compound but still better than most stock)
  • Hydronaut more geared towards for water cooling (middle tier compound)
  • Kryonaut geared towards higher end water / chiller / LN2 setups and overclocking (their high tier compound)
  • Conductonaut geared towards CPU IHS replacement compound (aka "liquid metal") and geared towards custom / high-end solutions (highest tier compound)

The "Liquid metal" type compounds are usually not recommended as a general TIM because they are conductive and if some of the compound gets onto resistors and surface components next to the die it can potentially short out parts.

Kryonaut is probably what you want if you want a high-end compound for overclocking and the best thermal conductivity.

I hear good things about the NT-H2

Most tests show all of the better pastes are within a degree or two. I used kryonaut, but arctic and Noctua have good products too.

I'd Go with Kryonaut or Noctua's NT-H2
