should I get a liquid cooler (i7-9700k build)

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if you think it is worth it to get a liquid cooler?

I currently have the cooler master hyper 212 evo which was the most popular cheap option.

Would a liquid cooler seriously increase my performance?

I am trying to make this computer as fast and good as possible for gaming and heavy work station applications.

Thank you !

A better cooler isn't going to make much difference running stock, maybe slightly better boost clocks but very marginal difference. If you put in a cooler that lets you push an overclock as far as your chip will go, then yes, it might make a noticeable difference. "Seriously increase" depends on what you mean; we're talking percentage points, not factors of 2 and 3.
