IS OCZ a solid built PSU? Here's the one I'm looking at:
80 Plus Brnze
How is Rosewill?
Depends. Overall, they're not bad - I'm not fond of their Green and Hive series, but there's nothing particularly bad about them. The Capstone, Fortress, Lightning (however tacky), Tachyon, and Silent Night series are all stellar, though.
Thanks. PSU is one thing I keep bouncing around on. Looking for a sub $100, 700-800w modular/semi modular. Haswell compatible...probably not for that price.
You never know - hopefully there'll be 4th of July deals somewhere, if you're still shopping then. If I may ask, what do you need 700W+ for?
Edit: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 720W, Corsair HX750
Oh, I don't necessarily need it in my new build. :p But if I find one for less than $90-$100, why not? I may go SLi one day.
Fair enough. If you plan on purchasing any time soon, I'd jump on that Corsair HX750 deal while it lasts - it's an outstanding unit for about $90 from Newegg right now (normally $130).
Thanks for the reply, but I'm not leaning towards the following. Same features(well semi modular), 50 watts more, and $12 cheaper.
People give OCZ crap about quality control, but they're not a bad company by a longshot. CoolMax, on the other hand, makes garbage power supplies. Don't bother with them.
