I read that the box cooler that comes with the 3600 is a bit loud. This cooler runs extremely quiet and keeps cpu temperatures relatively cool.

decent thermals for an aircooler
really annoying fan mounting solution

This. Thing. Is. Gorgeous.
I haven't had any issues, the fan is quiet, the temps are stable. I love it. Absolutely would buy again. (And hey, there's an RGB version for $5 more which obviously translates to 100% better performance)

Nice and quiet, Easy to install with clear instructions although once the fan was taken off (for installation) it was a bit annoying to get the clips back on

Keeps my CPU at 65c operating 3.8 Ghz full load. Definitely worth the price if you can tolerate attachment of the motherboard bracket. Made from weak plastic and the driver screw braces are not flush with the bracket.

- CM Hyper 212 Black edition : Despite the picture book of the instructions being slightly unclear as to what to do and what screws to use, a quick youtube video ( i believe it was one by GearSeekers) on how to install this resulted in a 5-10 min installation. The CPU idles at 30°c and the default fan curve makes it run at around 800 rpm at this temp, almost inaudible and i checked twice to see if the fan was actaully spinning when i booted up the first time. When i play games it goes up to around 60°c which makes the fan turn at around 80% speed, if your game has sound or your headphones have noise cancelling you wont hear the fan (even if you dont its not that loud even considering i have a mesh front panel). The thermal paste provided with the 212 still has more than half used even after i had to use it twice, first time i messed it up i cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and applied another pea shape. No ram interference (the bottom of the fan is within 1mm of touching my first ram stick. Looks great and is definatly worth the £30 i payed for it, quiet and looks great.

It's reasonably quiet. Looks great. Temps aren't the best, but for 30 bucks, it's amazing.

There's thousands of reviews just like mine for the Cooler Master Hyper 212 - It's quiet, pushes lots of air, looks nice, is fairly cheap and sometimes on sale - what are you waiting for? It's a great deal and a nice peace of mind for people like me who don't want to worry about a stock cooler underperforming.

This is a nice budget offering and it is pretty versatile with support for lg115x/am4 sockets. It's compact enough to allow me to fit a fan behind the cooler in an itx case. I chose this cooler as the color scheme was nice along with versatility between sockets.
