from completed build Best All Around Build at Under $900
I'll be honest, this board is going to be outdated in a couple of years when DDR4 and those fancy new format solid state become the standard, but for now, and for this budget, the board has treated me like a king. Its got looks, great support and features, and plenty of room to add accessories. Did I mention it looks awesome?

from completed build Xatalic's first gaming $2000 CAD Black, Red, Bit of Green and Blue build!
Okay so this is the only thing I had issues with when building my rig. I had heard that ASUS motherboards were great so I went with something in my price range (There was like a 60 dollar discount on it at the time) and everything was good except that I was unsure of how to install BIOS prior to setting up my build even though PCPartPicker specifically said that in the compatibility section. There is a SPECIFIC USB slot just for installing BIOS and you have to check your mobo's backplate to know which one. I did not know this at the time so it took me a few hours to figure out and thanks to a friend's help we were able to set it up quickly and efficiently.

Good motherboard, easy controls for OC and correcting ram voltage and the such. All usb 3.0, no measly 2.0, something I've grateful for.

from completed build F-15E Strike Eagle
This is the origin of the versatility of my Eagle. The ASUS Z87 Pro has it all at a very reasonable price :
_Connectivity : The Z87 Pro has it all, impressive Wifi speed at a/b/g/n comes from the included antenna; lightning-fast RJ-45 wired LAN module from Intel. The Wifi module also has Bluetooth 4.0 in it !
_SLI/ Crossfire X : It has multiple PCIe 3.0 slots, so why not ? Be aware though, once you put another GPU in the 2nd slot, the bandwidth mode will be reduced from x16 to x8.
_Quality : 5000-hour caps in compliance with Japanese standards, resettable safety fuse at RAM slots, independent power-management chip, stainless-steel modules at the back, giant heat shields at the CPU socket, etc. What else I can say ?
_Style : It is dual-tone : Black and Yellow. Does this remind you of the Lamborghini Gallardo ?

from completed build The Black Beauty (1st build)
Again, no complaints here. Linux even recognized the wireless chip by default, which I was a little wary of. I also like the features that it comes with, as well as the UEFI/BIOS options. I had trouble getting it to boot a usb in UEFI mode for a while, but I believe that was user error.
