Description

I started this build with hopes of downsizing my full size setup. A few years back I had a build using the Define Nano S and it was a great ITX case so i really wanted to see how the new Define 7 Nano was in comparison. Unfortunately, the build process was terrible. Fractal used quality materials but things are just totally crammed into place. I had to unmount the motherboard to route my 8 pin CPU power cable and even then it was a very tight fit. There is hardly any room for cable management. I finished the build very disappointed and ultimately ended up returning the case; hard pass on this one.

Did removing the top of the case help the build and cable mannagement in any way?

sure did, but still had to run the cable thru before mounting the motherboard and that was with flat cables

Dang, I had no idea the 5900X came was only $360 now! Great build.

Yeah the price on those is pretty great right now, unsurprisingly. You just have to cool it properly.

Nice looking build.

How did you return the case if you'd already built in it?

rear fan was all kinds of messed up, smelled like burning and made clicking sounds. Not something I wanted to mess with so I returned it as defective

How are you gonna space out the ram when there are only 2 dimm slots for the ram and they are already occupied?

lol, can't space it out. ITX boards only have 2 slots
