Description
Very glad I decided to sell off the proprietary parts from my Dell XPS and salvage the CPU, GPU, and storage from it. I couldn't use the maximum of these parts because it would just be melting inside the puny case.
Most of the parts (The PSU, Case, RAM, and Case Fans) I got were from MicroCenter, which might be why the parts aren't in PCPP's database. I also bought a cheap aio from amazon however the listing isn't there anymore, though I will say that it does it's job and is quiet.
Note: I was too lazy to go back and calculate/figure out how much the salvaged parts would cost compared to the prebuilt/prices at the time so I just left them as purchased for $0.
Part Reviews
CPU
Survived being used in a Dell XPS and runs beautifully in my custom PC!
Motherboard
Everything is great about it except that it keeps trying to get me to install their bloatware.
Storage
It's a good and cheap drive, on the slower side of NVMe drives, and I'm pretty sure is only found in major system integrators like Dell (which is where I got mine from)
Storage
Good bulk storage for games but has a weird coil whine to it.
Video Card
(This is a placeholder for an HP oem 3070 that is built to the same spec as the reference card)
Very good card, runs MW2 2022 at 60 fps at 1440p Max Settings without DLSS
Case
Good budget case, but is kinda cramped to build in and puts my GPU close to 85°C, otherwise would buy again.
